A 15-year-old boy who was stabbed to death in southeast London has been named – as two men were arrested on suspicion of murder.
The Metropolitan Police said the victim was Daejuan Campbell and his family are being supported by specialist officers.
The two arrested men – aged 52 and 18 – remain in police custody.
Police were called to reports of a disturbance on Eglinton Road, Woolwich, at about 6.30pm on Sunday.
Daejuan was found at the scene with a stab injury and died a short time later.
A witness told how the teenager said “I’m 15, don’t let me die” as he lay bleeding.
Detective Chief Superintendent Trevor Lawry said: “My thoughts are with Daejuan’s loved ones as they try and come to terms with this heart-breaking incident.
“The investigation into Daejuan’s death is still in the early stages and our officers are working around the clock to build a picture of what happened on Sunday evening.”
