Hamas Rejects Proposed Relocation of Palestinians by U.S. Administration

Hamas has strongly opposed a proposal attributed to former U.S. President Donald Trump, which suggests relocating Palestinians from Gaza to Egypt and Jordan.

In a statement issued on Monday, Hamas described the proposal as a “hostile scheme” aimed at erasing Palestinian identity and violating their historical and national rights.

The group emphasized the resilience of Palestinians, who have already faced decades of displacement and conflict, reiterating their unwavering commitment to remaining on their ancestral land. “The Palestinian people will not accept any plan that seeks to uproot or displace them,” the statement declared, as reported by Xinhua News.

Hamas also condemned ongoing U.S. support for Israel, asserting that such backing perpetuates policies that infringe on Palestinian rights.

In their appeal, they urged Arab and Islamic nations, particularly Egypt and Jordan, to reject any relocation plans. Additionally, they called for collective efforts to rebuild Gaza and bolster Palestinian sovereignty.

This development highlights the deep-rooted tensions surrounding the Palestinian struggle for self-determination and the controversial policies proposed by external actors in the region. Hamas’ outright rejection underscores their position that no foreign plan can override the Palestinian right to their homeland.

The appeal to neighboring nations serves as a reminder of the importance of regional solidarity in addressing the ongoing humanitarian and political challenges faced by Palestinians.

The call for reconstruction and support from Arab and Islamic allies reflects a broader aspiration to strengthen Palestinian resilience and safeguard their right to remain on their land.
