Donald Trump has named Sean Duffy, a former Republican congressman from Wisconsin, Fox News contributor, and reality television star, to serve as the secretary of transportation.
Duffy served in Congress since 2011 until 2019. Before being elected to public office, he was a prosecutor and a cast member on several reality TV shows including The Real World: Boston and Road Rules: All Stars.
“He will prioritize Excellence, Competence, Competitiveness and Beauty when rebuilding America’s highways, tunnels, bridges and airports,” Trump said in a statement announcing his nomination.
“He will ensure our ports and dams serve our Economy without compromising our National Security, and he will make our skies safe again by eliminating DEI for pilots and air traffic controllers.”
